Blogging 101: Pages to Menu Bar

Assalamualaikum y'all.

Yeap. Still doing the basic tutorial but this one is special for my customers who asked me to design their blogs. Jadi mana mana yang tertanya tanya apa dia menu bar, apa dia pages tu, I'll explain it here. So, apa dia menu bar dan apa kaitannya dengan pages? Okay, I think I have stated it somewhere before. I learnt blog design myself by following the tutorials from Bicara Farah. She's simply marvelous! Antara yang Cik Farah ni ajar, buat menu bar. So menu bar yang diajar tu boleh di-decorate cecantik. Jadi takleh senang senang pakai gadget yang disediakan. Sebab dia tak boleh pakai gadget yang disediakan, menu bar ini akan dilink-kan dengan pages berkaitan ya.

My style if I design blog for people who have no or little experience is I will design the menu bar as well as create the pages linked to the menu bar. Jadi senanglah, tak payah my customers link kan pages diorang ke menu bar tu sendiri. Jadi perkara pertama yang kena faham, pages ni entry yang di link-kan ke menu bar tu. Okay seterusnya, boleh refer gambar.

1. Mana menu bar?

So you all, menu bar yang dalam petak kuning tu ya. Biasanya, yang di list kat menu bar tu benda penting penting lah. Apa function dio duduk dokek situ? Haa. Fungsinya supaya ekau ekau yang mombaco boleh terus click menu tu terus ke entry pasal apo yang ekau click haa. Jadi tak payah lah korang exercise jari jemari untuk scroll mencari benda benda penting begitu.

Jadinya, entry tu ditulis kat mana? My style, entry yang di link ke situ semua ditulis di pages. So, my darling customers hanya perlu update dekat pages yang namanya SAMA dengan choice dekat menu bar tu. Contohnya: Option Senarai Harga Shaklee, isi untuk option tu perlu ditulis di pages bertajuk Senarai Harga Shaklee. 

 2. Macam mana nak tulis entry untuk menu bar?

Macam biasa, log in ke account memasing. Click je dekat pages tu haa. Yang dekat sidebar belah kiri dalam petak kuning tu okayy? Nampak ya anak anak semua? Okay good.

 3. Tulis entry anda

Bila dah click Pages tu, akan terpampang lah semua semua isi iniiii. Makanya anak anak boleh la pilih isi yang mana anak anak nak update. Nanti isi yang diupdate tu akan keluar dekat option yang bernama sama di menu bar. Okay? Gittuhhh senang je. Tak perlu bimbang benda lain sebab I have already linked everything for your blog. Hiks.

I really hope I have explained it clearly. Basically my darlings, bukak je pages punya option tu, you will understand how to move around. Aicewah gitu. I am so happy that people are trusting me with their blogs which I myself can't do. As much as I adore the professional blog designers I will always return to my own ability and skills which are most of the times, crappy. Heheh

Blogging 101: How To Post an Entry

Assalamualaikum y'all!

I'm currently in my semester break. And Allah is so Merciful and Generous that He showers me with loads of rezeki. One of it is people asking me to make up their blogs. I am more than happy to do that because; One, I can easily fill my time and two, I got paid. Yeayyy! Hehe. Some of the lovely people who asked me to make up their blogs told me that they have very basic exposure to blogging. So they asked me to teach me how to blog. Rather than teaching one by one, I find it's easier to blog about it and let others read from this post.

1. First, mestilah kena sign in account Blogger dulu.

Sign in macam biasa. Bukak Blogger, click sign in dekat atas dalam petak putih tu, masukkan email and password. Kalau pakai email @gmail tu, password blogger sama sahaja dengan password email ya temen temen.

2. Click New Post

Click terus dekat new post untuk tulis entry baru.

 3. Type your entry.

Haa. Dah sampai sini tulis aje lah apa yang nak ditulis. Jangan tulis fitnah sudehh. Petak nombor 1 tu untuk tajuk. Tulislah tajuk apa apa pun yang rasa menarik dan memudahkan orang cari blog kita.  Petak nombor 2 tu untuk kita taip entry. Petak 3 pulak untuk tulis label. Label ni function dia macam hashtag or categories. So bila dah tulis label kat situ, semua post yang berkongsi label sama akan keluar bila kita click label tu. Ada paham?

4. Schedule Your Post

Satu cara lain untuk post, adalah guna schedule post ni. Kadang kadang bila kita dah tahu kita akan busy untuk lima enam hari akan datang tapi still rasa macam nak blog kita ni ber-update, boleh lah guna schedule post ni. Click je dekat option 'set date and time' tu, lepas tu pilih lah bila korang nak post tu diupdate. So masa free tu tulis bebanyak post, set tarikh awal awal. Nanti bila busy tak sempat update pun, blog still nampak berupdate. Takdelah readers tengok sunyi macam gua.

So dah siap tulis title, tulis entry, tulis label and set tarikh, click la publish tu. Barulah orang lain boleh baca apa yang kita tulis. Gittew.

I think that's all for this post. I sincerely hope that this will help people who are very new to blogging. I learnt blogging through tutorials as well and I find it is more helpful and taught me better than learning directly from other people. You will face some difficulties, there's no doubt about that, but what's life without some challenges, eh? Just keep going and rajin rajinkanlah go through blog tutorial. Lama lama akan biasa dengan all the features. :)

Blogging 101: Tracking Your Blog Views

Hi people!

It's been so long since I last updated my blog. I have finished my first semester and is now waiting for my result which I am really nervous about. Pheww. Anyway, there are loads of lovely people asking me to design their blogs and I realised that most of them are really new to blogging (not like I'm that pro but I know a thing or two). So, I am going to have a new section where I will give step by step instructions to basic skills of blogging. Again, I'm not a pro so what I will be posting in this section will be the most basic thing to some of you out there.

So, one of the famous questions is how to track your blog views? Of course, when you write you will be very excited to know who are reading, how many people are reading, innit? You can track them simply by following these steps.

1. Overview Page

Log in to your blogger account. See the left sidebar? Focus on the rectangle options with number 1. Then you can see all the numbers and stats. In the rectangle number 2, you can see the summary for your blog views. Now, we don't want to live in a dream forever, right? Makanya, clicklah dekat option nombor 3 yang bergaris merah itu.

 2. Your Own Page View

Dalam petak merah tu, ada option tick/untick. So, sila tick that tiny little square. Why? Because, if you choose to track your own pageviews, you'll never know for real how many readers you actually have. Yelah, kadang kadang suka bukak baca blog sendiri. So bila tak track view kita sendiri, kita tak dapat the real number for readers' views sebab dah bercampur dengan view kita sendiri. 

That's for the overview. Now if you want to check the views for each of your post, follow these steps.

 3. View for Each Post

Again, left sidebar. Click posts. So akan display segala post yang kita pernah publish and belum publish. Focus in that red rectangle 2. Ada balloon talk punya shape, mata and date. So, the balloon talk is for comment. Nombor yang dekat sebelah shape tu indicate how many comments you have for that post. Yang bentuk mata tu, indicate views. Number kat sebelah tu indicate post views. 

So, basically that's it for How To Track Your Blog Views. I'll be posting more of this kind of posts because it's a whole lot easier for me to let people to directly read this tutorial rather than explaining the steps to every single people who are asking through whatsapp which can be read wrong. To make it short, I am actually lazy hahah. Now by posting this kind of posts can relive my blog in some ways. LOL #desperateforideas.

A Student Again

Hi people!

I completed my degree last May and after I have finished enjoying my very much blessed raya, I started looking jobs in my hometown. I applied for tuition teacher, kindergarten teacher and guru ganti as well. I was not looking for high-paying job but rather a job that can actually enrich my experiences and develop my skills. After two interviews and two disappointments, I ended up jobless. T___T. So I went back to my previous job - writing assignments and designing blogs. And oh ya! I actually started translating and content writing short articles for a website! So thrilled!

But still, I wanted to teach so bad. I miss my students, I miss the hustle of preparing lessons, having fun with the class and talking to my colleagues. I was and am determined to teach. I like teaching soooo much especially when it comes to secondary students. While I was busy doing all those small jobs, I actually applied for my master degree at UKM. I remember telling myself that once I have finished my degree, that's it for me. I won't further my study. Degree is troublesome enough. But there I was, applying for master with such big hopes. XD

Around August, I received an email telling me I have been accepted for Master in English Language Studies at UKM. Alhamdulillah. I was very grateful and excited because I had always wanted to study at IPTA because I had enough of IPTS hahaha. I don't mean anything bad. I just want to experience studying in IPTA. I just want to experience the differences. So I registered on last September.

A STUDENT AGAIN *yeayyyyy*

Master study is AH-MA-ZING! But boyyyyy, it is exhausting! I have to read and read and read. Mind you, reading is my favourite, maybe my ULTIMATE favourite but reading scholarly articles is not my forte. I took around 4 weeks to finish reading three articles and that was because the deadline scared me that I decided to read them.

My November schedule is not cool at all. 

I didn't remember sitting for discussion in library during my degree years lol. It's not bad actually.

Library is fine, I guess.

But it's been almost three months and it started growing on me. I can't believe I'm saying this, but there are times when I'm actually feel inclined to look for more reading materials. Lololol. But of course, not necessarily I read them after I found them. Haha. Don't be deceived y'all. But yeah, I started to feel okay with all the reading. But going to class? Dang, I still feel all giddy and excited for every class. I would like to think it as a positive thing because feeling happy for class is good, right?

There are times when I feel the work loads are too much but I brace myself. I'm doing this for my parents who I've let down during my SPM. So, I just think that I should go extra miles to show them that I actually take my education seriously and I really want to redeem my SPM result. I pray that I will be granted enough strength to complete this course. Aamiin.

EXTRA:

Lemme share with you how abang cafe took my order. I asked for Nasi Goreng Kampung Pedas and he key-ed in Nasi Goreng Kampung pedasssss gile. OMG do you have to be so extra??!

The amount of chilies in my friend's sup daging. I counted it guys. 23 chilies. For a small pack of sup daging. They are so extra.  

But food are cheap in IPTA. I'm super happyyyyy! :D

False Frustration

Hi people!

I've been in relationship with my significant other for 4 years and few months, I think. We started off as friends and after school, things started to look serious and I decided to give it a go since I felt like I was big enough to handle feelings and emotional problems. LOL. He's amazing and very understanding. I was lucky enough to have him but is he lucky to have me? Kahkah. I'm dramatic and I tend to run away during fights. It's not nice and I am always scolded for this kind of attitude.

Anyway, we once had a terrible fight because I felt neglected and ignored. Hahaha I know it's stupid but it sure did not feel stupid at that time. I was being a bit dramatic but he understood me way too much, he saw and expected everything beforehand. Danggg. After almost an hour, we both came to a decision that we should talk. WhatsApp was not enough as our texts could be read in the wrong or different intonation and of course, will lead to many more misunderstandings.

So I called him. Since I always pour my heart out, I asked him if he ever felt frustrated or disappointed with me. I wanted him to be honest with me. So he said, yes. My heart broke but I knew that I had to know what did I do wrong so I could change myself for us. I asked him to list things that frustrate him about me, one by one.

He started with cactus. He asked me if I remember about the cactus he bought me? I said yes. It was the first gift after we confessed to each each other and such a bizarre one too. I never had a plant as a gift before so of course, I was very happy with that. I asked what about that cactus and us that disappointed him? He said, how could I leave that cactus behind when he went to Cameron Highland just to buy me that very cactus? I was dumbfounded. And then I laughed.

Because I still had that freaking cactus with me! I changed the pot once and bought new compost twice. I WENT THROUGH ALL THE HUSTLE TO BRING THAT CACTUS HOME FROM KELANA JAYA. Imagine guys, taking home a thorny growing cactus in a bus from Kelana Jaya. I laughed some more because actually guys, he was the one who left the cactus behind. He finished his foundation study at UiTM and just forgot about that cactus when he was packing for home.

He stunned and seriously asking if I was being serious. I said yes. I brought that cactus home. It survived for two years before it got wilted because of the inconsistent weather in my hometown. I said I could show pictures of that cactus if he wanted to see it. Then he laughed nervously and said sorry because he didn't remember leaving his cactus. Well, forgetting about that cactus is understandable but from where did he get the idea that I'm the one leaving the cactus behind? SMH.

This whole situation really made me realise that men are really forgetful. But mine is worrying. He's forgetful and tend to plant new and FALSE memory in his head. God, please save him and his terrible memory. Anyway, I had a good laugh that night and I could feel all the frustration went away. It's crucial to talk to each other when you have problems, not talking about each other with some other people. This is his philosophy by the way.

Anyway, be it your family, boyfriend, fiancee and of course, your friends - ALWAYS CHERISH THEM. I am not really blessed in the look department lol, but God send me loads of good friends. I have people who keep supporting me through thick and thin. Sure, we fought, we made fun of each other and hurl vocal abuses when we had the chances to, yet I'm really thankful for everyone in my life. I have lost some of friends throughout the years of not keeping in touch with them and of course, because of myself but people I have around me now are people who I want to keep forever. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Okay that's it. I got geli with myself for being so cheesy. Yikes!
