Book Review: After You

Assalamualaikum peeps.

I just finished reading After You by Jojo Moyes. Mannnnnn, I've waited for this novel for months. I was oblivious (at first) to the fact that my favourite novel, Me Before You had had sequel to it. I was in Times Bookstore at Citta Mall when I first encounter the novel. It was the large paperback edition and priced around RM 70. And I was so poor at that time I couldn't afford it. (other times pon I am still poor jugak T___T).

So I wait and wait until one day I went to Ikea with my dear friend and we stopped by at the Popular Bookstore in IPC. Boy, can I have one Popular like that in my hometown? The Popular is massive and they have like everything and they have this one gorgeous Fiction rack full with beautiful books waiting to be bought and they have a section where they put all books in special edition and collection and and and I was still poor. pffft. #sadlyfe

Anyway, I found my After You and I was so happy I can't describe the feeling with words. So about the book. If you have never read Moyes', lemme tell you. She's a sensible author, a very brilliant one. Her stories are all so lovely, so relatable. She turns everyday's struggles and issues into absolutely beautiful masterpiece. I totally love love love her writing. 

Remember Lou? She was miserable after Will's death. She went travel for a while and then settled working as a bartender. But she didnt really settle down. She can't stop missing Will and she can't move on. There are lot more new faces in the book and I don't really want to spoil it's totally interesting and worth reading. There are many troubles too but nothing our Lou can't handle. Aicewah. 

Lemme list the important points for After You. I'm trying not to spoil anything.

1. Will Traynor has a daughter. A frigging daughter. 

2. Lou Clarks meets a gorgeous guy.

3. Lou's parents are having big but emmm funny problem?

4. And yeah, Lou fell off a building. Is she dead? Is she dead? Is she deadddddd?

I really think that After You is a must read novel for readers who are very curious about Lou's life after Will's death or people who watched the Me Before You movie. If you have read the previous book, well you will feel so attached to the miserable feelings Lou's facing. If you don't want to ruin your imagination about how actually Lou and Will can turn into, don't read the book. Moyes is a very realistic author. Lou moved on. miahahaha.

Novel, Novelis dan Taste.

Sihat? Eheheh. Tak pernah pun tanye sebelum sebelum ni kan? Tebiat. -_-''. Anyway, mesti ramai yang suka baca novel kan? Aku sukaaaaaaa. First novel aku baca tajuk Unggun Api-Siri 7 Penyiasat tuh. Masa tu umur enam tahun. Enid Blyton tulis tapi version translate la kan. Hebat nohhh aku kalau baca yang omputih umur enam tahun. Femes satu kampung!

Gila addicted dengan novel novel macam ni masa umur Tahap 1 sekolah rendah. hahaha. Darjah Dua aku start baca novel orang tua. Tajuk first Hati Seorang Wanita - Norhayati Berahim. Darjah Dua tuhhhhhh. Kemain aku kannnn?

Lepas makin suka baca novel tuh, duit raya tiap tiap tahun habis untuk makhluk makhluk ni jelahhh. Mak dengan apakk takde nye nak tolong sponsor. Unless bila birthday. Sadis betul. Tapi sebenarnya, aku nak cakap pasal benda lain. hehe. Ni menyimpang masuk memory lane pulak. Mari lah pulang ke pangkal jalan.

So, novelis mana korang suka? Aku suka Ramlee Awang Murshid, Anis Ayuni, Aisya Sofea, Hlovate dan mereka sahaja. hahaha. Novel lain pun aku baca. Tapi ni yang memang peberet lah. Kalau macam Siti Rosmizah tu kan, bukan taste aku. Sebab bagi aku, novel beliau semua mirip mirip je. No offense okey. Pendapat aku je. Tapi aku baca semua novel beliau walaupun tak suka. hahahaha.

Bila dah masuk tahap dua sekolah rendah, dah start baca novel orang putih. Diorang punya idea memang pergh! Imagination diorang sangat hebat okey. Tapi, kita punya novelis pun hebat. Macam Ramlee Awang Murshid dan Hlovate. Novel mereka tak kosong. Bukan sekadar cinta atau misteri semata mata. Ada hadis, ada potongan ayat Quran. Aisya Sofea dengan Anis Ayuni punya novel matured and realistic. Takde lah asyikkkkkkkk KAHWIN PAKSA - TIDUR BILIK ASING ASING - PARENTS DATANG - DUDUK SEBILIK - TERJATUH CINTA. 

Maaflah. Tapi semua novel macam dah sama jeeeee. Sampai kita pon boleh agak ending macam mana. Sinopsis macam dah lebih kurang. Namanya je yang lain. Samapi aku pun jarang nak membeli novel sekarang ni. Sedih. :( Acanerrrr nih? Ke aku je yang rasa macam ni?? Maafkan aku. :DDD. Apa apa pun pernah baca novel ni?

                               

Pages dia semua 1245. Tebal woooo. But then, sangat menarik dan memuaskan. Cerita ni seronok nauuuuu. Pasal maruah dan harga diri seorang wanita. Tiap kali baca, tiap kali tu lah rasa termotivasi. Sangat puas hati. Mana mana yang tertarik, sila lah beli. Bila baca kan, memang kepuasan tu terasa. Serius!

Happy dan Gembira

Assalamualaikum peeps.

Yeeeeha! Korang pernah tak beli buku online? Pernah kan? Aku yang jakun ni first time try beli. To be exact, aku beli buku secondhand online. Mari lah aku meriakkan diri dengan menempek gambar buku yang dibeli. Hahaha. Semua buku ni dah habis baca pun. Dapt je petang Khamis, terus baca semua. :D

Tadaaaaaa~

Cuba teka berapa hingget ni semua? Ahahaha. Semua ni RM30. Including postage, RM 38.00. Masih macam baru kan buku buku ni? Yang tajuk The Gift tuuuuuu, HARDCOVER okey! Tanjat ittew masa bukak wrapping parcel tu. Lepas tu terus joget joget. Muahahahaha. Sapa nak kasi wehhhh, buku hardcover macam baru bahasa omputih RM 10??? Aku tersangat lahhh happpy. ALHAMDULILLAH.

Buku buku ni sangat lah baik keadaanya. Takde contengan, signature pun takde. Bekas lipat lipat pun takde. Sekali lagi, aku bertambah happy. :D. Aku tak expect la buku buku ni macam baru, tapi aku happy la dapat yang macam ni. Happy gila. Ada tak rasa nak tampar aku sebab ulang banyak banyak happy tu? Hahahaha. Sabarrrr.

Sementelah aku mengada ngada hapdate pasal buku ni, aku nak recommend semua orang baca novel Cecelia Ahern ni.Novel dia macam magic tau. And aku sangat la jeles. Why? Because she has the gift to touch people's heart by her writing. Kau baca novel The Gift tu, konpem konpem kau menangis at least setitik dua part hero tu pesan dekat anak dia. Sedihhh wooo.
